Bissi Holding produces electricity from renewable energy sources at international level. We pursue major investment opportunities aimed at increasing our installed capacity in a context of corporate responsibility and environmental sustainability. We achieve our goals through interdisciplinary expertise: site identification, preliminary and final project management, environmental impact analysis, structuring of finance operations, construction and operation of plants.

On an annual basis, our plants provide 202 million Kwh of electricity generated from water, sun and wind. Able to meet the needs of 177 thousand people, they avoid the emission of 120,5 million kilograms of carbon dioxide.

Our objective is to boost the installed capacity in the belief that the production of energy from renewable sources is an important tool for ensuring energy supply, autonomy and competitiveness in different countries. Our project actively contributes to sustainable development as well as the safeguard of the environment.

Milestones

In 1999 the story began. Alto Mallero, the first hydroelectric power plant, started operating in Chiesa Val Malenco. The first kilowatt- hour of renewable energy was produced and our project began to take shape.

New hydroelectric power plants were set up seven years after the first one. A few years were enough to ensure significant business growth and future business vitality too.

The renewable energy market showed interest in new sources, such as solar and wind power. More opportunities developed from this sector that could serve as an alternative to fossil fuel-generated electricity. Sensitive to the new market, the company began to produce wind and photovoltaic energy.

The wholly owned subsidiary were established in East Europe and in South America. The Group went international and generated its first “foreign” kilowatt-hour.

The company is growing propelled by great dynamism. Between 2013 and 2018 new plants are planned and then put into operation.
